The Spring Fling Fundraising Feast

Hosted by the West Wemyss Community Trust

Friday 1st March 2013, 7pm  Tickets £35 per head

Please note change of venue – The Walk Inn, West Wemyss

Spring is edging closer, so what better time to celebrate regrowth and regeneration – not just in our gardens but right here in our local communities in Fife. The West Wemyss Community Trust – recent winners of Fife’s Most Enterprising Community Organisation-  have been working hard to breathe life back into one of Fife’s oldest coastal communities, and food is at the heart of this mission. Their first enterprise, the West Wemyss Walk Inn, has seen the only cafe, shop and exhibition space re-open in the village,  providing an essential place for community groups to come together and begin to form a new local economy.

To celebrate, the trust are hosting a three-course spring feast on the 1st March, showcasing the best of Fife’s produce at this time of year. The Fife Diet will be there to help out, with Mike Small speaking on the provenance of the food on your plate, and Fife’s Provost Jim Leishman giving his unique take on local enterprise. There will be a silent auction on the night too, with the funds from the evening allowing the trust to continue supporting and growing an enterprising local economy.

Tickets are available in person or over the phone from the West Wemyss Walk Inn, 63 Main Street, West Wemyss, 01592 652001, or the Fife Diet Offices, 6 – 8 Old Station House, Forth Place, Burntisland – 01592 871371 (Cash only, please call in advance)
