Crail Food Festival.

As the Fife Diet campaign blooms into the summer of 2011 we are proud to share our details of our calendar of events arriving soon in the east area. First off, it’s the Crail Food Festival. The festival kicks off a week today with a preformance from local musical hero King Creosote. Come along on Saturday and Sunday the 18th and 19th to say hello and show your support for local food.

Saturday 18th – Info Stall and Speech.

We will be a friendly face in the townshall – where you can find out more about the great work getting done around Fife. If you know anyone who has yet to sign up, coach them along to meet our ever keen Richard who will support their application.

Sunday 19th – Harbour Front – Smoothie Bike!

This is a great one for the kids of all ages – and we’re really excited about it. We’re bringing our ever popular attraction to Crail – the Smoothie Bike. Come along and say hello to Lisa and Louise who will be running the show. Here you will be able to sample some of the finest summer fruits furiously blended up with milk to make for a very tastey treat. We will of course also have a sensible stall nearby with a fancy locally made display. While the kids are peddling for treats, why don’t you take a minute to speak with Richard.

Saturday 25th of June – Pittenweem Gala – Volunteers wanted!

Kirsten and Sara of the east branch are busy preparing the build up to the 2011 Pittenweem Gala They are going to be displaying the Smoothie Bike as well as a stall and are currently looking for a few helpers for the day. If your free that day and like having fun – then get in touch to help out.

More events are coming soon! We looking for people who are interested in food to particpate in the running of Fife Diet events in 2011/12 – if you’d like to campaign for healthy local produce, you may wish to consider becoming a branch volunteer. Contact richard@fifediet.co.uk for more details.
