Here is info about the up coming sessions in the community garden.  Our first weekend session will be this Sunday 10 April from 1pm until 4.  We will be digging the tattie patch, making a start on the kids area, general site work, and sowing.

There will also be an expedition to go and collect seaweed from the beach!  Hope you can make it.

COMMUNITY SESSIONS TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVERY SECOND SUNDAY OF THE MONTH

Come and join in: sowing, planting, harvesting, site maintenance, growing advice and lots of chat.  Kids welcome.

In April: every Tuesday 1-4 and Sunday 10th 1-4pm

In May: every Tuesday 1-4 and 6-8pm and Sunday May 8th

(further weekend sessions June 12th and July 10th)

WORKSHOPS AND TALKS

Over the next year we will be holding a series of work shops and talks including: growing herbs, bee keeping, wild food, organic pest control, storing produce, permaculture, and loads more.

We will also be hosting plant and produce sales and community celebration events through the year.

    Local seed swap: today I was offered potatoes but already have a lot in! If anyone nearby would like some, please leave a note at the Community Garden shed.

    I’m very interested in the wild food workshop mentioned here, either being involved in actually supplying some information (as I already partake in foraging for wild food) or in getting more information from fellow foragers.
